Advanced German

Ten lesson for students who would like to move their skills forward, increasingly using the active skills such as speaking and writing. This is for anyone working at the levels of B1, B2, and C1.

Trial Lessons or Meetings

Arrange a meeting to discuss your current knowledge and aims, which books and learning materials you would like to use, as well as where to meet up, etc.

10 lessons one-on-one with a view to reviving your long lost German skills and filling in any gaps. All abilities and levels catered for.

German A1/ A2 Study Group

1st Tuesday of

January, March, May, July, September and November

at 6.30pm in the City Centre

A bi-monthly meet-up for all my students working at A1 level. This is a chance to meet other students and to practice simple conversations, such as introductions, talking about hobbies etc.

Each meeting will have a specific focus, such as meeting new people, talking in the past tense, using modal verbs, or choosing the right cases.

A2 students will be there as guests and Speaking Buddies. They will help Beginners, give them support and confidence, as well as solidify their own skills by using and explaining key ideas.

It’s a nice way to meet new people and socialize while speaking German.

DEUTSCHKLUB

Every 1st Tuesday of

February, April, June, August, October and December

at 6.30pm in the City Centre.

A relaxed Get - Together for all of my students at B1, B2, and C1 level. This is a chance to meet with other students, socialize entirely in German, and have fun using the language without worrying about mistakes. It’s a Stammtisch, but for learners, with some very fluent speakers as well as a native speaker for a little support and encouragement when and if necessary.

A2 students will also be there. Usually, they mix in for 30 mins, talk amongst themselves for 30 mins, and then just sit in to listen for 30 mins. This is only a suggested structure. People just do whatever they are comfortable with. Talking in a foreign language can get tiring, so there is no pressure to speak at all - you can come and just listen if you want to.

german FOR BUSINESS

10 lessons aimed at learning German, including the type of terminology needed to work in a business environment. (For companies or 1:1)

Skype Lessons

One-on-one lessons via Skype where you can practice speaking and learning German. Choose between five one-hour sessions or ten half-hour sessions.

A clear and simple overview of all the cases in German that you need up until you're fluent. Designed to be put next to your work so that just a quick glance will be enough to know the right endings to use - until you no longer need to refer to it.

Verb Tenses

An overview of all the tenses on a timeline, including 3 tenses - out of 6 - that are super easy to use, and don't need a lot of learning. This also clearly shows the difference/ equivalent of English and German Tenses.
